When I think of the 4th of July, I think of summer vacations on the beach. This time of year, many are finding ways to give to others. While we all appreciate a thoughtful gift, we know there is much happiness in helping others. Here are a few ways you can “give back” locally.
Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge in Northwest Florida has served the coast for over twenty years helping rehabilitate and release injured wildlife. While they are working hard to protect habitats for the wildlife, they also partner with schools to educate the youth on the importance of conserving our native species. Opportunities to help the organization are available in several areas including rescue, animal care, fundraising, and education.
