When you’re visiting the Gulf Coast, you want to make the most of your beach time. Some wait months to visit this slice of paradise and you have so much gear to bring down, you don’t want to have to leave unnecessarily. That’s why we have some tips for you when it comes to lunchtime on the beach. If you prepare ahead of time, you can pack your day full of sand and sunshine.

The beaches of Northwest Florida do rule. People come from all over all year to vacation in one of the world’s most beautiful locations. But there are things that set us apart from other beaches. Aside from natural beauty, there are many things we can do ourselves that contribute to keeping this area beautiful. A new rule this year regarding tents on the beach have us wondering what exactly is allowed at the beach? The last thing you want to do on your vacation is spend money on fines. Now is a good time to go over some reminders of Walton County beach RULES.
As of April 1st of this year, tents over 6x6 ft. are no longer allowed on the beach.

Whether you’re in walking distance or a short drive away, here’s a few helpful tips to make getting to the beach easy. Public beach accesses are conveniently placed throughout 30A. Our first beach town is Dune Allen. The public beach access is located on Scenic 30A about 2 miles west of the Scenic 393 intersection at Gulf Place. This year the first day of spring lands on Tuesday, March 20th. That means you have exactly 13 weeks and 1 day before the summer heat. The Beaches of South Walton have a calendar full of exciting events to keep you busy outdoors every day this spring! Music fills the air from March through May in Rosemary, Seaside, and Alys Beach. Spring concerts are offered at 6:00pm every Wednesday and Thursday night. Bring your blanket, beach chair, and a bottle of wine and enjoy the sounds of talented musicians under the stars.
