We have stayed at this house 2 years in a row. Absolutely loved it. I have 3 kids and this place fits us perfectly and has everything. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place in a perfect location so close to the beach. My family and I loved it and will definitely stay again here. Benchmark is the best property management team out there and are always helpful and willing to go out of their way.

This was our second year in a row booking Mermaids Rest. Positives, great location, great house with lots of room and bathrooms. Only issue we had was the floors downstairs are so dirty your feet turn black, but I honestly think this is a battle at any beach house. With the battle of sand on the tile floors it’s almost impossible. They did have a well stocked kitchen and a grill. The neighborhood was super friendly as well. Parking is super easy, enough for 3 good sized vehicles. I would definitely rent the property again.

A very relaxing week

A lovely place for families of all ages. If the beach is too crowded, and the one within walking distance usually is, the pools were not, so you could choose where you wanted to be. The location is within walking distance of great restaurants and a bit of shopping.

We loved Cassine Gardens!

We stayed at Mermaid’s Rest for two weeks and absolutely loved the neighborhood. It was quaint and quiet, perfect for our family and in a great location. We biked all of 30A from here, and spent a lot of time in Seaside! We loved that the owners left a binder of all local recommendations and a guide of the area. The house was spacious with a good layout and equipped with everything we needed. We were able to walk or quickly bike to the beach!
The downfall was the cleanliness of the house. It did not appeared properly cleaned at all. Our feet were black within an hour of entering the house and walking around. It felt there was a layer of grime on everything. There was a ton of very visible dust under the beds, there was hair in the showers and mold in the toilets. It took my husband 45 minutes to clean the grill before using. I ended up spending a day doing a full clean of the house before we were able to settle in.
Aside from that, we had an Incredibly memorable trip and would definitely rent in Cassine Gardens again!

Mermaid's Rest is always the best

We did have a couple of maintenance issues before we arrived- and I am so happy to say they were all resolved before we ever checked in. It was all smooth sailing after that. The house is so charming & conveniently located to so much, yet the neighborhood has the perfect small town feel & was always so quiet.

Our stay at Mermaids Rest was perfect! The owners have thought of everything, from comfortable beds with the softest sheets, to beach chairs and toys. The location was great, a short walk to the beach. The kids loved having access to 2 neighborhood pools too. We will be back!

Fun Week at Mermaids Rest

The rental's location is absolutely perfect. We loved the neighborhood and the proximity to the beach. The property itself is well maintained and the set up of the house worked perfectly for our family with 6 adults and 3 kids. However, one major glaring issue was the mattresses. They were all uncomfortable and looked to be very old. I would absolutely come back but only if the mattresses were replaced.

What a beautiful destination!! The location of Mermaids Rest is perfect. Quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the beach. The included umbrella/chair service is a great addition, although the guidelines could be a little more clear. Watching fireworks on the beach on July 4 was a highlight of our trip!! Unit has everything you need to enjoy time at the beach including chairs, toys and floats. It also has plenty of appliances/perks to make it comfortable to stay inside. A welcome addition would be a map of the Cassine Garden neighborhood, showing the two pools and the trails. Keyless entry made it easy for individuals to come and go on their own schedule. An option to reduce the morning sun in the bedrooms would be helpful for the guests that would like to sleep in. I hope that I can return to enjoy this beautiful home again!

Perfect house for our beach vacation!

We loved our stay at Mermaid’s Rest! The home was clean, cute and in the perfect location! We enjoyed a fun bike ride to the beach each day and loved coming back to stay in the sweet Cassine Village community. The homeowners couldn’t have been more accommodating giving us tips for some of their nearby favorites! We’d go back every year if we could!

We enjoyed our stay at Mermaids' Rest. Our interaction with the owner prior to booking was excellent. The condo had everything we needed for a trip to the beach. The kitchen was also well stocked and we also loved walking to all of the local restaurants.
