Our Favorite Summer Spots are Open!

outdoor hangout

Who else is ready to get out of the house? The summer season is beginning, and we’re all looking for things to do. Even while social distancing, we can enjoy the warm weather and beautiful views. There is much to do here on the coast, and we wanted to share some of our favorites.

Spend the Day at The Hub 30A

The Hub 30A is a great place to walk around, grab some snacks, and enjoy the spacious lawn with the family. Throughout the week, there are opportunities to listen and dance to live music, or watch a family-friendly movie outdoors. You can have dinner at one of the surrounding restaurants, pick up drinks, or get ice cream for the kids. They often have painting nights as well - sign up with your friends for a group paint class.

Take a Stroll Around Seaside

Seaside is now back open so there are more places to browse and galleries to admire. Walk around and get ice cream in Central Square or mimosas to-go at Modica Market.  Sundog Books is open and allowing customers with masks. This charming bookstore is full of great items from books, children’s activities, post cards, journals, you name it!

Hang Out Across from the Beach

Shunk Gulley and Growler Garage on 30A both have outdoor seating and often have live music playing. Shunk Gulley has beach views from their rooftop seating and a spacious lawn for playing cornhole and hanging out. Growler Garage won the 2020 South Walton award for Best Craft Beer Selection and has over 40 beers ready for take-out or to enjoy in house. These are in an ideal spot across from the beach and right down the road from Grayton Beach

Aside from these popular spots, there are endless paths for a nice bike ride and miles of pristine beaches to enjoy. It’s been a wild year so far, but we can still make the most of it. Don’t forget the importance of fresh air and sunshine to boost your mood. 30A vacation rentals are up and running, and we love seeing all the smiling faces back in town!
