Fun for the Kids on the Emerald Coast

30a Kids

The gorgeous Emerald Coast is a popular vacation destination for people of all ages all year long. We have miles of pristine beaches that families have come to love. When the summer starts, we see kids all over town enjoying all that our Florida town has to offer. The beach is the top attraction but there is much more around 30A to enjoy. Here are some of our favorite activities that kids of all ages love in our area.

Blue Mountain Beach Creamery is the best spot for a sweet treat to cool off this summer. Located on 30A in Blue Mountain Beach, this locally-owned ice cream shop often has a line of eager kids waiting to pick out their favorite flavor of ice cream, yogurt, or sorbet.

If you have a crew that loves an adventure, Geocaching is a fun activity to get everyone involved and out in nature. Geocaching is a real treasure hunt with some areas having hundreds of hidden gems. After signing in online, you’ll get locations for a hidden geocache and then it’s time to hunt! When you find the hidden items, you can add your own to the location.

Make your own beach bucket list and mark off some items you’ve never tried while on your vacation. Search for shells, fly a kite, look for crabs, or collect sand dollars. Try a new watersport like stand-up paddleboarding or surfing. Or try all of the above!

If your kids like to unleash their creativity, Rock Paper Scissors 30A offers art classes for children as young as 3. This popular creation studio is located in Grayton Beach, next to Hurricane Oyster Bar. Kids are encouraged to express themselves creatively while having fun! Take your finished products home and don’t worry about cleaning up the mess.

Summertime is looked forward to all school year long and we recommend spending it on 30A. Book a luxury 30A vacation rental near the beach with room for the whole family and friends. We guarantee this summer will be one for the books!
