Looking Forward to Fall on the Coast

We can’t deny it any longer. Summer is coming to an end now that kids are back in school. While every season comes with its own highlights, the fall season is one of our favorites. Cooler weather and a number of fun events are in store and we are ready for it all. When you are booking your 30A vacation rentals for a fall getaway, keep in mind these happenings around town so you can make the most of your vacation.

We are grateful to have many festivals throughout the year covering all sorts of topics and the next few months won’t disappoint. During October 12th and 13th, over 200 domestic and international beers will be available for sampling in the Village of Baytowne Wharf. The popular event will also feature live music during both festival days. Rosemary Beach presents its 8th annual Uncorked event on October 13th. Guest will enjoy an exquisite wine selection while strolling the cobblestone streets with proceeds benefitting Habitat for Humanity of Walton County.

Families always enjoy the outdoor movies in select areas near 30A. On Fridays in Seaside, bring a chair or blanket to Central Square and watch a movie under the stars. Movies begin at 8pm and you can grab dinner or snacks at any of the Seaside delicious eateries. At the Hub 30A, you can watch movies on the big screen from the center lawn on Tuesdays and Wednesday nights. After dinner, get ice cream or milk shakes at Mr. Freeze and enjoy a family-friendly movie with the kids.

30Avenue features a live music concert series on Thursday and Friday evenings. Head over to the 30Avenue green and enjoy music and games each week. When you’re not dancing the night away, go shopping at the upscale boutiques or get a delicious meal from one of the many restaurants nearby.

When the sun goes down at the beach, a bonfire is a fun way to keep the night going with your friends. Bonfires are allowed in select beach areas with a permit and an appropriate fire pit. Bring the s’mores, a guitar, and some chairs for some evening fun on the beach around a fire!

Maybe every season is our favorite in Northwest Florida but with good reason! Gorgeous beaches and plenty of great activities make it a leading vacation destination. As the busy summer winds down, we are looking forward to relaxing with friends and family during the fall season.
