Spend Your Holiday Season on the Coast

Snowman on the Beach

Holidays are best spent with those you love but a beautiful backdrop doesn’t hurt! Spend your holidays on 30A and take part in the many events planned for the rest of the year. We still have warm temperatures here so you can enjoy the beach and warm up in the sun with your friends and family. Here are some of the things we are looking forward to this holiday season.

Seeing Red Wine Festival will celebrate its 28th year during November 8th-11th. Guests will enjoy four days of wine and culinary events in the charming town of Seaside. This exciting event is one of the “Top 10 Can’t-Miss Fall Wine Festivals” by Fodor’s Travel. Get tickets ahead of time for this one because it sells out fast! Stay at one of the many luxury 30A vacation rentals nearby to enjoy the full weekend of festivities.

On November 16th and 17th, you can check out holiday favorite “The Nutcracker” by Northwest Florida Ballet at Mattie Kelly Arts Center. Performances each day will feature live musical accompaniment by the NFB Symphony Orchestra. On Tuesday, November 20th in Rosemary Beach, you can bring the kids for Every Christmas Story Ever Told. Enjoy all your favorite holiday classics at the outdoor theater. Bring chairs or blankets for the show and the kids can get their faces painted.

The popular Cuvee 30A will host an annual Thanksgiving Day Buffet from 11-3pm on November 22nd. Local favorite Chef Tim Creehan will cook up Thanksgiving turkey, trimmings, side dishes and desserts. Creehan is known for many award-winning dishes and opened a new Cuvee restaurant in the beautiful 30Avenue. Make your reservations early to save a seat at this mouthwatering event!

On January 1st, the annual Songwriters Festival will kick off the new year with a big musical bash along 30A. The lineup boasts 175 artists and 225 performances over 25 venues. This is one of the biggest events of the year and continues to exceed all expectations. The 2019 festival will include performances by Brandi Carlile, Patty Griffin, Shawn Mullins, and Jason Isbell. The four days of festivities will bring tons of fun while benefiting the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County. This year, a portion of the proceeds will also be donated to Hurricane Michael relief efforts.

Every year in Northwest Florida gets better with year-round events providing something for everyone. Whether you’re here with us or planning a 2019 beach trip, we hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!
